I just did the same fix with FIDO with HTC HD2 and it worked. Thanks! Just out of curiousity, how do people discover these types of fixes and what is involved?

I picked up an unlocked HTC HD2 and I had this same issue. I called Fido support and I got the same old song and dance about not being able to help me.

I downloaded PHM Registry Editor, followed these steps and it did the trick.

Thanks!

I just picked up a HTC Touch Diamond2 using a Fido/Rogers SIM. Called tech support, as expected they were useless. This did the trick! Thank you!

You have to install something like PHM registry editor for windows mobile. Then you'll have access to the registry like you do on windows.

Yeah, they have a cab file that creates the key mentioned above. I applied it, but that didn't work either. So frustrating! I've been researching how to fix this for 3 days straight!!

"Hmm, once in “Software” I cannot find an “OEM” folder. What am I doing wrong?"

I have the same problem on my i617 (BJ2). I created the key but it didn't work.

Anyone know what to change in the BlackJack 2 to fix the sms time stamp issue?

Hm, That could be a ROM related issue - are you running the latest? Also, do you have the device auto syncing time, or have you set it manually? I believe I read about some issues with auto sync in the xda forums.

I have kind of time problem with HTC Diamond... the time for received messages is always more than 15 hours ahead of system time. Also, when it sync from my outlook calendar, the time is changed ahead by 15 hours. If I correct the calendar entry in my phone to the proper one and it syncs again, my pc appointment will be exactly 15 hours behind the original time. This is something in the phone, for sure, but I dont have a clue on how to solve it.
